“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” - Ephesians 5:15-17
We all have a choice; a gift God has given each and every one of us. Time is a gift from God and how we use this gift is our choice. The Bible separates “time users” into two groups. Group one belongs to the wise, those who spend most of their time for the glory of God. Group two is where the foolish belong, those who spend the majority of their time for the glory of self.
What might we be doing in order to “make the most of our time”. Our career, hobbies, sporting events, T.V., computer activities, taking care of the kids, etc. are all part of the reality of life. None of these are bad; in fact some of them are good. But, how might you devote your God given time to Him above all these? Spend a daily time seeking Him. Get into studying your Bible. Pray to God. Spend more time at church functions in order to be with His people. Remember, these “days are evil”. Don’t fall into the second group of “time users”. Understand that the Lord wants you to be wise with your time and live for Him.
