Ephesians
Learning to sit before we serve is the essence of living a successful Christian life. Too often, we want to do the opposite. Too many of us get busy “serving” Christ without having sat long hours at His feet, listening to His Word. We need more sitters than servers in our times; and a person has no business serving if they haven’t sat. Listen or watch below...

Mastering Sin
Genesis 4:1-7
Historically, the doctrine of sin, or harmartiology, began to be revealed by God to man in Genesis 4. Today, through Jesus Christ, we have God’s full revelation of this doctrine as laid down in the New Testament. What can we learn from Cain’s sin? How do we as Christians master sin in our times?

Christ, or Fig Leaves?
When Adam and Eve failed at the Fall they responded in three different ways. They tried to cover themselves, hide themselves, and vindicate themselves. We tend to respond these same ways when we fail today. But, how did God respond to Adam and Eve’s failure? He called to them; and He covered them. This is important because He will respond the same way in our lives as well. Ultimately, each of us tries to fix our sin, failures, brokenness, and hurts in one of two ways: we either try to fix them ourselves; or, we run to God to fix them for us.

Love is a Pain
"Those who say that they are in the light but hate other believers are still in the dark. Those who love other believers live in the light. Nothing will destroy the faith of those who live in the light." - 1 John 2:9-10 (GWT)Light and Darkness
John constantly uses the pictures of light and darkness as metaphorical examples of how people live on earth. Those who live in light are true followers of Jesus Christ; those who aren't true followers of Christ live in the darkness. Obviously, "light" and "darkness" here refer to the spiritual condition of a person.
